Join us for a Virtual Q & A with Judy Chaikin, producer/director/writer of the documentary, “THE GIRLS IN THE BAND,” about the unknown history of women jazz instrumentalists from the early 1900’s to the present day. The film took top prizes at five film festivals including the prestigious Palm Springs Film Festival and is currently available to view on KANOPY with your library card. In addition to her film work, Judy is also a ghostwriter of personal memoirs for well-known public figures and has just completed her fourth book. Judy is a member of the Directors Guild of America, the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences and Board Member Emeritus of the Alliance of Women Directors, former Board member of the IDA (International Documentary Association) and current Board Member of Greenlight Women.
